We had a strong showing of OC/SD cars at this well run event. Mark Johnson needs to thanked for putting this together. Lot's of NSX's, F car, Viiper race car, BMW's, Elise and more, the pits were cool (so was the wind!). I'm sure Fury will post his great pic's and I'll post mine when I figure out how  Everyone I spoke to had a great time and can't wait for the next Dali event. Just happy to get get a chance to go fast close to home

Although the OC team is small, just CoolNSX and I, we managed to hook up with the SD caravan on fwy15. So we had 6 cars heading up the lonely Hwy127. It sure beats driving up there by myself when you have people to BS with. Club radios saved the day.

The track..... what can I say..... The 3.5mile track is intimidating as heck! Even till the end of the day, I still couldn't figure out how to take turn 4 (off camber) and 9 (flat) faster. The new config is a lot harder on the brakes than the previous config. with hair pin turns after long straights.

I was riding in NSXTC's Lotus Elise in 3 sessions. What can I say? Total respect for his car control technique. This is how I looked like.

Lance, I was on the track with you in a couple of sessions, but never had a chance to say hi.

Bob and Lito, it was nice sharing the space with you both at the paddock. Hope to run into you in future events.

Troy, Randy, Conrad and Bruce, I think you SD guys are cool.

Time to wash my baby and touch up some paint chips. :frown:

Mark, thanks for organizing this great event! Where do I sign up for the next one in April?

Mark:

Thanks again for putting this on again...this event is always one of the highlights of the season!

CDub shot some footage from the passenger's seat during one of the last sessions. Since this was a brand new track config, we will try to put together a little video in the next couple of weeks as time permits.

Looking forward to the next one already!

Mark, great event, thanks a million for all the planning and for allowing me in the last minute.

the 3.5 mile track was very mind boggling, tests your abilities or lack there of (example: me), but a blast to drive and to put your NSX in use for what its bred for.

Mark, Chris, Bob, Lance, Troy, Randy, Conrad and Bruce and many more I didn't get a chance to meet long enough, great group, till next time , see you all in later NSX meets.....SoCal or Nor Cal

Trackday.net, those are some awesome pics. Nice work!

After 6 hours of cleaning up my car, I'm half way done. Today I ....

1> Remove all the tapes and the bra that saved my paint
2> Cleaned the front and engine compartment
3> Washed the car
4> Removed OEM 5 spoke wheels/tires and clean the under carriage of the car
5> Polished the exhaust tips and wiped down the canisters suspension
6> Installed the Volk wheels
7> Vacuumed and wiped the interior

What's left for next weekend:
1> Polish the scratches
2> Wax
3> Condition the leather
4> Clean the air filter
5> Oil change

and I thought this was a one day track event.

:) awesome! how much did it cost to run at this track?

This time was $160 with 2 run groups and we would have had 7 sessions if a civic didn't blew a motor and spilled oil all over from turn 4 to turn 9. Even in 5 sessions, I had over 120 track miles.

You should consider bringing out your S2000 for the next one. It should be around April.

What, don't tell me you're getting rid of that cool two-tone paint scheme on your exhaust? :) Or that you're getting rid of your AWESOME pearl white paint job? :D

How embarrassing! That dirt was so fine that it stuck to my car like a bad girl friend you are trying to dump. I got it all over cracks and creases everywhere. I had a hard time getting it off.

I'd have to agree with everyone else who was at this past weekend's drive event. I had an absolute blast. At the driver's meeting, looking over the new track configuration, I'd have to say I was quite a bit intimidated. But after a few laps and a bunch of feedback from other drivers, I felt more comfortable as the day wore on. By the afternoon, smiles were everywhere.

Thanks again, Mark!!! I can't wait until your next driving event.

Spring Mountain is in Pahrump, NV, about 60 miles west of Las Vegas, home of the Famous Chicken Ranch
