i was just curious...
but how many members here drive/use their nsx as their daily drivers?? and if so (or not) do you have any complaints??

thanx

Well, mine is not exactly a daily driver as I use my wifes RX330 to go to work and to the stores (We both work at the same company so we go in together), but since I sold my Acura Legend the NSX is technically my only car right now. I drive it about 3 time a week or any other chance I get. The only real complaint I have is the lack of storage room. I can barely fit my one golf bag in the trunk.

Daily drives...

My son started Jr High School last week, and told me that I had to take him to school in the NSX. So we drive up to school, and the principal is outside and says.... nice car. My son was not impressed. However, when he noticed that a cute girl was looking at him, and the car, that did get his attention.
Needless to say, I am taking him to school everyday now in the NSX.
When I bought the car, I thought that it might make some women notice me......
I didn't think that my son would make use of it in the same way......:D

My NSX is very definitely a daily driver. It is my only vehicle. Purchased new in mid June with 75 miles on the odometer, it now has 17k miles.

As for rain or snow driving, I just shift from being in one of the fastest cars on the road to being one of the slowest.

Mine is also a daily driver. My main complaints so far, storage space and a so-so stereo; otherwise, it's been a dream.

My red 95-T is my daily driver. It did force me to buy an old beater Subaru wagon to lug the dog around in, though. Nothing beats the NSX when I have to go to a night meeting in some outlying small town, and get to drive home late at night, on a lightly traveled road. Nothing clears the mind like 130MPH with the top off!

I use my NSX as my daily driver. Like others, it is my only car.

I believe the largest downside to only owning the NSX is the fact that you will have to park it in places that you do not want to.

My NSX is a daily driver until I buy (another) MR2 to substitude it.

Mine is my only car. No real complaints. Just storage space in the cabin really..

I have my NSX as a daily driver and the 91 Teg w/ 120k miles as the garage queen! I know I know, that doesn't make sense. But park them next to each other and you tell me which one you'd rather drive! :D

This has been discussed many times previously.

Do a search on topics with the word "daily" in the subject and you will find that many of the 27 topics that appear will answer your question.

With regard to this topic: cars changed, people changed, mileage changed, so every now and then an update is quite interesting. I am on my second NSX, and if you asked me, I am not going to give you the same answer like before about my mileage. In essence, sometime the "SEARCH" is negated because all the info are now obsolete.

I bought my NSX to be a daily driver and haven't regretted it for a moment. I wouldn't have it any other way - I can't imagine having the NSX and only driving it occasionally. I even drive it in the rain and haven't had any problems, although I have learned that if there's snow on the road, it's best to find another way home :)

I feel the same way with *certain* topics.

I use my 97-T as a daily driver... I average about 100 miles per day and getting 26 mpg. My complaints are wacky climate control system although i'm not sure if it is typical for most nsx's. Its great on full high, but less than full high its like the fan isn't even on. Also it only blows hard out of the door vents, almost nothing from the dash.

My other complaint would be the seats, honda could have thrown in a couple more seat adjustments, i.e. lumbar, bolster etc. and I would LOVE to have an adjustable headrest, i do find my neck a little sore after long drives. I guess I sit so far back and I have to hold my head forward when driving.

As far as women noticing an nsx... I doesn't seem pretty women even notice the car. But it sure does get alot of attention from teenagers and little kids:(

i used mine as a daily driver for a while when i had sold the S2000. i racked up a few k miles in two months and decided to buy another daily driver.....

tons of fun driving it daily.....just made my heart ache a bit to put it through heavy traffic, uneven roads, etc...

That is definately not typical of the NSX or any Honda/Acura. Even in sunny Hawaii, I rarely have the AC on full blast. It is usually somewhere between full low or about midway. Only if it is a really hot day I use full fan speed for the first 10 minuts or so. Both the side and center vents appear to blow about the same amount of air, even with the smaller Nav Pod vents I am now using.

Let me just add one major downside of it being a daily driver/only car. It SUCKS to leave your car at wal-mart or places like that... i am always worried something will happen to it...

Even going out for dinner, I like to sit somewhere where I can see the nsx :) -- perhaps I am just insane! :D

:D Don't worry about your weird behavior, we all do that here

Have a 91' and I use it for a daily driver as long it is not raining. I was able to drive it about 98% of the time this summer. I am in sales therefore I need to carry various things to and from customer locations so the cabin compartment could use a little more room. I am also in and out of it several times a day so if I have an injury from sports it can be more difficult to get in and out of. As for the trunk, I am able to carry two sets of golf clubs with shoes and a couple other things in the trunk. It takes few extra minutes to ensure nothing is broken but it can be done. Not sure how big ChrisK's golf bag is?

On days such as today when it is raining I find it painful not to drive the NSX, not sure what I will do when summer ends and winter begins.

I guess alot of nsx'ers don't drive their car in the rain... and that's fine, it's their car and their choice. But I do drive the nsx in the rain and see no reason not to, unless I JUST finished washing it.

Heck, driving in the rain gives me an excuse to wash it as soon as the weather clears. Now I would never drive it in the ice or snow!
