Hi guys,

ok.... here is one more update.

The cronology of the latest works was:

Friday - welding (the thing came so ugly that i didn't even dare to take photos of it raw like that)
Saturday - I gave it some good looks
Monday - I installed everything on it and is now ready for painting preparation

Here are the photos of the Saturday work. There are some photos of the thickness look of it at many points arround it:

And next is the photos of yesterday work, with the buttons tight in place with all electrical connections done, welded and properly isolated with shrinking thingy :

The next steps are:

- prepare its imperfections the best i can for paint
- finish the buttons faces and prepare them for paint also
- paint them matte black with a few layers, and then clearcoat it matte with some layers also so it won't be much fragile. On the buttons faces, after the first layer of clearcoat i'll put the white letters and then clearcoat a few layers over it

What do you guys say?:biggrin: i'm getting happy with the progress and looking forward for the finished look

EDIT: and one of the most important things... the weight.... with wires and everything, it's at 110gr right now

Hi,

quick update...

well... i smoothed all surfaces, primed them and am between black layers right now... here is a quick pick of how they are looking:

and here is a shot of a quick spray i did with 2 different silvers... different in tone and grain:

the silvers obviously would have black letters

Thanks,
Nuno

Hi,

No real updates other than the only thing that it's missing for a full finished status is the white labels for the buttons...they are already painted and they also have matte clear coat.

i just need to do the labeling and then apply some more layers of clear coat over them so they will resist to normal wear...

I hope to finish this within October.

Thanks,
Nuno
