A month back my car was stolen and my last center console was broken in pieces when the theives stole my navigation/dvd/mp3 in dash head-unit. Anyways I finally managed to get my hands on a used oem center console from DownForce and made some time to start working on my new center console...here are some pics...If anyone would like a full list of instructions on how to do your own just shoot me a PM or do a search and find other related topics with instructions.

The pictures are just a test fit and the center console is no where near being done, but it's getting there...

what was done...
blocked off oem stereo unit hole
blocked off coin tray

what still needs to be done...
install of a pioneer avic-d3 or z1 (undecided)
install of oem ashtray lid, covering an s2000 start button and tein edfc unit
install of bluetooth auto car kit (motorola HF1000) w/center speaker

Not bad..not bad. Looks alot better than I would have thought. I like the paint finish.

Thought about doing the same w/edfc behind the ashtray door........Hows it fit?

Thanks John! :)

I haven't recieved the edfc yet so I didn't get a chance to see how it'll fit but I don't think it'll be a big deal as far as fitment since the space behind the console is pretty deep.

The paint finish right now is still just a primar paint, the final coat won't be put on until after everythings completed. I still need to cut out the double din area for the navigation unit.

The finish looks sweet.I have to paint my dash over and I ike the flat black look.

yea it seems to be very durable so far.. it is however sandable primer, so gotta be careful with things rubbing against it but ill put a finishing coat over it later when im done to prevent scratching.

also just a tip...make sure you take your time and spray the paint on in multiple layers...spray on 1 layer let it completely dry and spray on another layer and so forth...continue to do so until all of the areas are covered,,,

I have mine painted honda graphite gray but i think im going to go with the flat black look.

Looks like exact process I used way back here - unfortunately the pic links are all goofed up but they're still available in my gallery. (start here and work left)

awesome write up, i guess now i won't have to write it out lol... saw some of your work, very professionally done! im going to try some other customization to the center console as well, perhaps some crazy way of molding a usuable cup holder and keep it looking clean still or something...

the first one i did when i bought my nsx about 8 months ago i spent alot of time on it being it the first center console i worked on but this time around it was much easier.
