CT CF airbox, does it really add HP? Also Cantrell or ARC experiences?

The Whipple charger that Comptech used was known as the 1600AR and it had a "hump" on top of the case and the built in mounting holes like this pic.


The 1600 AX you are refering to is a newer Whipple design. I know there was something about Whipple not making their own chargers anymore, or they bought from a new manufacturer, or something I can't remember, but it happend 2-3 years ago when Comptech had to switch to Autorotor.

Thanks man for the info, I was just laying down some info I had lying around on the A and AX.
Can't wait to get my used unit in my hands to take a close look at this item.
I sell fans and blowers but on the commercial industrial side that only achieve max 50" w.c. of static pressure (2 psi max). We have not ventured too much into high pressure applications, only selling a few Gardner Denver/Lamson/Rotron Blowers and a few Industrial Hi-Vac systems.
