It works sometimes, how can I diagnosis the problem?

My brake lamp light is on ever since I put in the LED brake lights, maybe it disables the cruise control?

That is the likely cause, since cruise control turns off if you depress the brake pedal.

The bulbs are not going to be your problem the brake lamp light is on because you need a certain resistance in the brake lamp lighting system and the leds don't give it enough. you can solve that problem by grounding one of the wires at the tail lights. I will get back to you on the wire you need to ground. The cruise problem could be a couple things

I also lost my cruise with LED tail lights (admittedly I like using it sometimes on straight roads). The cruise circuit looks for continuity through the tail lights to engage. Although it's not the most elegant solution, I installed a resistor in the circuit as indicated in the attachment. Cruise has worked ever since. Note this is on an '03, your wiring may be different.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure if it was the LED because the cruise does work sometimes. But it was nice of the engineers to think of disabling if your brake like is broken. Now I don't know whats worth keeping, the LED which is brighter than stock or my cruise control when I need to drive 30 miles on highway to work.
