Cops speed trap flashhigh beams

Either that is the most courteous act I've seen in a long time or it's the best scam ever!

A lot of people are saying "if you slow down when someone flashes lights to warn you, it works the same as a ticket." I doubt it. If you think you know where the cops are, you'll just speed up again as soon as you're around the next bend in the road.

Most of the people on this forum are responsible and intelligent, and know when and where it's possible to open the throttle a little without putting other people in danger. Think back to how you were at age 16, or better yet, how I was at age 16 when I got four tickets before I figured out that I wasn't Senna.

That being said, I've been a cop for three years now, and I've written one speeding ticket. I somehow manage to always be busy when the radar class comes up.

Kudo's to you Copper! Maybe you ought to hold a class on public opinion so your co-workers can improve the public's perspective of the police, by convincing them to issue more warnings to those that are really not harming anyone by going a few miles over the limit (it's real easy to do) and have no record of public deviances. Sorry, but to me it's just a money grab from hard working innocents. My $.02, but I meant the "Kudo's".

On one occasion I flashed and was pulled over and in turn issued a warning for obstruction of justice. Probably could make a case for that in some mayor's court somewhere.

Slighty off topic, but deals with cop radars. I was on my way to work and I came up to where the street "T"s off with a light. I was waiting to turn left and the cop was on the shoulder with the gun pointed almost at me firing away his radar(I know, I have a radar detector in my DD) trying to catch speeders. That pisses me off. I know your doing your job but could you stop radiating me. I get enough of it on the flightline from work I don't need an extra dose of it from you. I flashed every motorist for about half a mile.

Probably making sure you or someone near you is making a full stop before doing a right on red at the T?
