Well, the thread title alone is worth as least Honorable Mention for Best Thread Titles of '06. I hear Prime is throwing an awards banquet for this honor -- you should definitely show up. Bring a date. Better yet, role up to the red carpet in your sweet NSX!

Hugh, How much?

Virtually nothing. For an exhaust, get a small regtangular piece of aluminum, stencil in the the name of a CARB approved exhaust. Or betetr yet, take a look at a an actual CARB approved product and use the cert emblem as your guide. You can pick the one you want to use here.

Make it look as professional as possible then following the template above, engrave the relavent CARB number with a cheap engraver from radio Shack. The format is always D-xxx-xx. Then take some JB Weld and stick the cute little plaque onto your exhaust.

Discalimer: I am not condoning any type of illegal activity. I am simply providing information to better educate the consumer.

Agreed on #1, but why would you leave the best weather in the world unless you have to?
Yeah I don't care for the weather in Southern California anyway..The nothern part is ok but when it gets to be anything more than 68 degrees I start sweating..

So California can keep it's "great weather" and the Million dollar starter homes too:wink:

Seattle, one of my favorite cities.... to visit. That summer rain would PISS ME OFF if I lived there. Rains every summer day in colorado too when I lived there the past 4 years. Oh and then it would hail.... joy.

Yes Yes is rains here all the time...so don't move here:smile:

Some people say they get depressed if they don't have direct sunshine for a couple days, I'm sure that happens, but for me I get angry and frustrated if I have the sun beating down on me, I'm sure I must be a miniority in that regard but low key weather like we have here works just fine for me.

As John said- as much as I love Southern Cali's weather, I could never live there. They can keep their quarter million dollar section 8 housing, unparalleled congestion, vast prison system they take so much pride in, mouthy brain dead celebrities, diverse uneducated population, and great smelling eco-friendly 'green' farts. For being driving country, anymore it sounds an awe fully lot like NJ to me.

I ran across dedicated forums just for Cali guys to gripe about motoring regs down there. A recent article rated Cali as being the least auto friendly state in the nation. Motorists get the privilege of having to deal with classic state spending and big state government run amok resulting in micro-management on an unparalleled scale.

Perhaps best exemplified by many of these well known frivolous issues for motorists you touched on in this thread... like huge taxation, significant graduated annual registration fees, insane premiums, annual emissions inspections, and the CARB board that has proven that green is for sale... and that's just to get from the dealer lot to the "open road" which more often appears more like a parking lot anyway if you finally get there. Afterwards, you then in turn get the joy of having to confront and deal with all the state's cowboys and their stupid personalities on a regular basis... ugh just thinking about it spins my head. After a few years, I'd think you guys would all be looking to move to Kansas by now.

For living in a western society that prides itself as pro-democracy, intellectually superior to the balance of the international community... the obvious impact on the 'state of the union' caused by all this unnecessary and un-enforceable state and federal motor vehicle codes is obvious.

When casual motorists are being detained using this crap as PC, receiving four digit fix-it tickets and a mandatory inspection at area road blocks for simply enjoying an exhaust on their sports cars along a Southern California freeway is simply appalling to me. To many, once this was the symbol of the American dream.

All I can offer, is hope that one day in the distant future the NMA gains the membership clout of the NRA.

I dunno Man. I lived in the city and between state income tax and the absurdly high NYC counties taxes, that place was a bitch on your income.

Haha, welcome to Florida! No state income taxes...check. Still deduct sales taxes instead (thanks to Bush today...much appreciated, call me a hipocrite  ) of state income taxes...check. Hot chicks with minimal clothing...and...check.

Yeah, My dad lives in Boca. Beautiful place. I really like Florida, will be in Jacksonville in January for a month or so for a little r and r, no Cali this winter ...sold the crack shack out in Cali for what a mansion goes for here. I am going to look around in Flordia for a new winter place. Cali is getting to be a bit of a drag with all the people out there and Florida is a lot closer.
