I hope they get convicted and penalized to the fullest extent of the law. They should not be allowed to remain as Police Officers anymore. They think they can do whatever they want by manipulating the system. Shame on them.

I agree...

luckily she wasn't a minority or things would get uglier...

It shouldn't throw every single DUI investigation into question, it should throw every single everything the bastards did into question. They threw this girl into jail and they're sitting pretty getting paid inside an office building now. What exactly is there to investigate, again? They need an instant replay on the tapes? Dirty cops make all cops look corrupt, and good cops should be speaking out against this nonsense. (if there are any out there)

All power corrupts...

It's ironic that the camera system is designed to protect the officers yet winds up convicting them. Apparently someone forgot to push "stop record".

The very first car accident my mother had. She was following a slow car and someone was following her. She pulled out to pass the car in front of her and at the same time the car behind her pulled out to pass both cars and smashed into the back of my mother. The police came and filled out a report. She went to the police station to get a copy of the report the next day. No report existed. The person who hit her, a policeman, had called one of his buddies to the scene to take the report. They threw the report in the trash. :frown:

They'll get paid vacation. Until good cops speak out against this they will continue to earn the reputation cops get these days.

I almost puked. How can this be. I agree with unlemming, everything they did should be taken into question. I mean that's really messing with peoples lives because they think they are the law but really cops are supposed to be unbiased and just present the facts for the courts to decide. SSooo terrible. They should see real jail time just so the other cops come clean, wonderhow the video came to light.

Now come on everyone- we all believe in due process right? So go ahead and put them on administrative paid leave, do the internal affairs investigation, the criminal investigation....then fire them, convict them and send them to jail.

I too agree it opens the door on every case those officers provided testimony in, or sworn statements, to have those cases re-opened and likely dismissed or perhaps resolved much better.

I don't know. I think the evidence is pretty solid and would like to see them fess up to save $ on the trial. Can you imagine how much this is going to cost the tax payer?

There was a State Trooper here who was interviewing to become an FBI agent. During the interview he admitted to creating evidence in a murder investigation. I guess they asked him if he would bend the law to get the job done, or something to that effect. He cost this state millions of dollars because they had to let the convicted person go, if you ask me she was guilty. Then his prior cases were opened for review. MILLIONS of dollars.

Someone should take a look at the former chief of police arrests in a little village we own property in. The guy comes to me, tells me he used to be the chief of police but he retired and is now running a construction company. He has a couple of trucks and a dump truck, looks legit. I give him a 10k deposit to rehab a house. He does a little work then never shows up again. Taking him to court but I bet he gets away with it because of his connections. Very incestuous here sometimes.:frown:

Some believe in due process. I believe in the shallowing of the gene pool.

YES...these guya are IDIOTS and should NOT be wearing a badge!!!! i dont know how it works in Florida, but if this were in California, they would definatly be fired (after they are proven guilty). we have a thing in California called a BRADY ISSUE. if a cop is EVER caught lieing about ANYTHING, the District Attorney is REQUIRED to tell the defence attorney BEFORE trial. which as you would expect result in a lieing officer being COMPLETELY WORTHLESS in court. this is why the VAST majority of cops DO NOT LIE !!! especially in the case of traffic tickets.... too much to loose for a bogus traffic ticket when there are WAT TOO MANY legit tickets to write.....

it'd be great if the officer would confess, be fired and everyone move on. just in case that doesn't happen  due process is a good thing... who knows what else will be uncovered in that effort.

LOL!

Stop lying!

edit: To be fair, ONEADAM12, I've seen such conviction in your posts over the years that I believe you're one of the good guys. But I'm sorry to say that I'm not the least bit surprised by this video.

that's how it works in Florida. I got pulled over numerous times and the cops made up reasons they pulled me over. Once I caught him lying and was like "look my license plate light is not busted" and pointed to it while he made me stand outside the car. he was like "oh it must be the glare from the street lights, but I still gotta run you" other times it was you guys matched a description. This is how FL works. I moved to CA and cops haven't even looked at me twice.

Not exactly... Brady refers to the prosecution's legal requirement to turn over exculpatory information of which they are aware. An example would be one co-defendant or a witness who makes a statement that exculpates another co-defendant. A Brady violation by the prosecution can result in a mistrial.

A Pitchess Motion is a motion brought by the defense asking for any incidents of excessive force, false reports, discipline, etc., which would have relevance to the case for which that officer is presently providing evidence/testimony.

Yes exactly..... the defense DOES NOT have to ask for this info..... if a prosecution knows the officer has lied before they are REQUIRED to tell the defense without having been asked for it.....

Cops lie all the time..Last time I gat pulled over the cop totally lied as to why he was pulling me over. Its your word against his.And they usually win.
