Anyone have these? Are they too thin?

Billy recommended the Dali trophy bars but it seems like that's not even made any more or in stock.

Comptech bars say "300% stiffer in middle setting". Dali is 500 and 600 on the trophy 1.0 and 1.25. I am runnin 1000/600 springs.

No one has the Comptech bars?

I have them and like them.

I have driven Valhalla's with the Dali trophy but was not able to drive it hard enough, slow cars ahead of me, to really feel the difference but I'm sure it's better for the track.

I have the CT bars and have a neutral car

Doc aren't you also running 1000/600? And which holes are you using?

I also have them, I don't have much experience with other bars but they definitely feel better that stock and I like them a lot. My front is at the stiffest setting and the rear is set on the middle one but I might be wrong.

I will answer your which hole ? with an apropriate answer....full stiff front, half mast rear...

I have the CT bars, Car is completely balanced with them set at middle front and back hole rear. BUT I have a lot more tire than you would on a stock body car so that may make a difference? I refuse to use the Dali bar since CL65Captain had us look at his car and we found a completely tweaked rear sway bar. I'll have to dig up the picture but it was bad. CT's are Eibach produced so you know the quality is there and proven.

I think I remember that you are running KW (V3?)- did you have them revalved to run the 1000f 600r rates? What tires do you have?

I have Type r sup...Dave has the fancy triple adjustable race kw

Come again - which Dali bars are you referring to

I have the 1.0" Dali track bars (max stiffness fronty/middle rear) with some 20K miles and a dozen+ track days and have had absolutely no issues. Prior to these I had the Comptech adjustable bars - adequate but not enough with a CTSC.

I'm going to look for the pic. CL65 has the pic I'm sure. But it was tweaked (bent) at least 1 inch out compared to an oem. Only on 1 side of it. He does about 6-10 track days a year and it was on for several years.

You do know that he has had a few off track bouncing excursions a few times and he is proud of that fact too :tongue:

Well his off track excursions have been mostly on right hand turns. So if the bent is on the rear left sway bar ...........

Right rear. It's the rear Dali street/track 0.875. I'm wondering if the damage was actually done in transit (UPS) and I never noticed until the car was up on the lift and I could see the gap on the right side to the damper was considerably less than the other. When you are walking back and forth it's easier to notice those things, rather than lying on your back. Either way it was really noticeable when we pulled it off, the right side was bent to the outside (right). Like you pulled it back.

As doc said, I have the KW competitions not V3. They were originally on 1200/900 pound springs. I switched them out to 1000/600. The ride is totally acceptable now, but since I am more street now and even less track I was thinking to move the 600 up front and 360 rear. Not sure how the damper will like that though.... How much deviation can there be before something needs revalving? And then I have all the adjustments.... Low and high speed rebound and compression. Problem is idk what the F I'm doing. LOL. I just set them to what billy told me and haven't touched it since.

So is the Dali track stiffer than the Comptech on its stiffest setting? Do you feel it still wasn't enough? What are your spring rates?

I have them on my car. I really like them. They don't seem to soft to me. I have the front on the middle setting and the rear is on the last. I have JIC coilovers

Yes; each hole adjustment on the Comptech sway bar is about 30 lbs adjustment if I am not mistaken. I believe the Dali Street/track is similar to the old Comptech (amd now CT makes the same) sway bars with 22.22 mm about 300% stiffer than OEM. The 1" track bar that most of us is 25.4 mm and about 500% stiffer according to Dali's website. [His comparison chart show lower percentages but I believe it has not been updated.]

I have the Comptech pro suspension with 1000 front/600 rear springs.

I have CT Bars w/KW V3's. Bars are set at stiffest setting and the car is very neutral, but I still have too much body roll. Good street bars, but not enough for the track. I tried to order trophy bars from Mark/Dali with no success. His site said they were available (green light), so I ordered and paypalled him. I got no response from him for two weeks before I had to file a dispute with paypal. So how can I get my hands on a set of trophy bars?

Rob, don't you think you can control some of that body roll with springs? V3s are at like 340 F/R. I'm at 1000/600 on my KW competitions. I don't have much body roll.

I know what you mean... But there are a couple of issues that will remain. One, it won't cure squat and dive. Two, a really thick bar can decrease grip on the outer wheel. Essentially you have less independence. A lot of the newer supercars like the mclarens choose to not use them alltogether.

Also, it will increase wheel rate so if only one tire goes over a bump or pothole, you are going to have a worse ride. It's certainly not without penalty. I get what you're trying to achieve, and I am not saying I know better, I'm just thinking a 600% stiffer sway bar with springs that are roughly 75% stiffer over stock is what we are looking at. I'm thinking that may not be the best match/compromise.
