I have a 92 Auto NSX that I am trying to locate an auto cruise control module . The part # listed for an NA1 automatic trans NSX is 36700-SL0-A11. I am having issues locating a used AT module, will a MT auto cruise module work in the AT? I can find many used MT auto cruise modules (36700-SL0-A01). Anyone know what this part # is from? 36700-SL0-921, seller is in Austraila and i couldn't confirm that part # on the acura parts page. Any help on this will be great.

If you go to the NSX Prime Wiki / Repairing Your NSX, you will find a section with links to the shop manuals. Get a .pdf of the manual for the early cars. Check in the electrical section of the manual on the pages covering the cruise control. From the schematic of the cruise control, the only apparent difference is that the manual uses a clutch interlock switch and the auto uses an interlock on the shifter, both of which go to the same pin on the control module. According to the pin-out, all other pin functions are the same. That suggests that the controller for the manual and auto might be interchangeable; but, it is not a guarantee.

I would want a pretty good price discount on a used MT controller if I was going to experiment to find out whether it would work. You also have to give consideration to the fact that given the NSX's seemingly endless capacitor problems, a used cruise control module from a 1991 NSX may be a dead cruise control module.

The folks that have done the auto->manual changeover have report zero issues as well; everything works. I doubt there is any effective difference between the two cruise control units.

I suspect there is an administrative reason for the Honda made different auto and manual p/n's the cruise control and TCS.

Great point Drew with the conversion aspect and with what Old Guy said I think using a MT control module will work..
