I made a dumb mistake last year and cleaned the callipers with a wire brush ... now a year later I can see corrosion stains on the surface. I need to paint the callipers but I'm not sure what colour. I have a '92 silver with shiny '97 OEM rims. I would appreciate any colour suggestions. Thanks

On silver,I'd say black /silver logo.I've always wondered what the fascination was with red calipers. Is that the "cool" thing to do,maybe in imitation of Ferrari.I've got spa yellow & it had the calipers painted red.I'm getting ready to paint them yellow with black logo.I never thought yellow & red matched.Any explanations?

Black.

I think black or silver looks best on ANY color car.

I think red, on a car that isn't red, is atrocious. Like something you'd expect to see on a calliope (CALL-EYE-O-PEE), which is an old fashioned musical instrument on wheels, using steam whistles to make noise. Here's an example of a calliope:

Yeah, red calipers would look perfect on that.

I like your sense of humor NSXTASY. I figured the best bet would be black calipers with an off color for the NSX letters. Anybody see gold color calipers on a silver car or will it be toooooooo goddy.

I'm getting ready to repaint my calipers on my '91 Sebring Siver also, and I'm considering doing them silver this time around. The last time I did them I made the mistake of painting them black with silver letters and after they'd get dusted up a bit they just disappeared behind the wheels. Not exactly the affect I was looking for.

This time I'm considering Brembo Red. I don't think it'll look too gawdy, just kinda sporty. Ken?

Red! IMO red looks great. Of course, I have different opinions than most people do.

Speaking of spelling ........
Where are you from (originally), Daria? Colour is the proper (sic!) English spelling as opposed the US-English color.

Or maybe you simply can't spell, since caliper only has one "l".

(Just joking with you on the last part - I was genuinely curious having seen "colour", since it is not typical here)

Yes, Ken?

Just thought I'd catch some heat for red-on-green.

Hey D'Ecosse. I'm from Toronto and all my life it's spelled (or spelt) colour. However, as the saying goes, while in Rome ... do as the Romans ...
As for gaudy or gawdy .. I'm still as confused as the color of the calipers.

Red calipers over black caliper brackets (there's a shock, huh?)
I initially used the G2 epoxy paint kit, brushed on - didn't like the finish so sprayed over that with a spray caliper paint (good for 900 deg C it said on the can) then brushed in the NSX letters.
Now I need a nice looking set of rotors to complete the picture!

I removed the calipers completely to do a thorough job.
Tip 1: clamp the brake hose with a pair of vicegrip pliers to stop all the fluid draining out on your garage floor!

Tip 2: get a set of Speedbleeders - these are great for one-man bleeding operation & look nice too (I got the SS ones)

Get them here part # SB10125 (10mm x 1.25) for the NSX (both front & rear)
- Stainless steel is an option.
(not affiliated in any way, blah, blah, blah .....)

LOL ... yes, red calipers would suit these 30" wheels... just needs to be lowered.

i pretty much echo nsxtasy's color preferences too: black on black, & black/silver looks good on ANY color car.

However, red can look great on silver; the user 'PAUL' posted some good photos recently of a silver NSX with red calipers, as seen here: Red calipers on Silver NSX

Green? What's green? I thought your car is Sebring Silver?

With red-on-green, your car will be perfect even if it's only for one day a year...

I have carbotech pads and they produce alot of brake dust. For this reason, I have opted to keep my calipers black w/ silver NSX logo. I have polished HREs and its frustrating to have to keep wiping them down again and again much less to clean off the calipers.

Now granted, If I had myself some of those nice expensive brembo/porche/lotus/whatever big brake kits on my NSX I would happily sport a loud red color/colour/whatever. Oh BTW, my car is black case you didnt look down.
