The Exedy clutch is a good design for track use - however, it really is not designed as a street clutch. It has a more aggressive friction liner that requires more slipping (and thus wear) to smoothly engage. In addition, it is quite a bit lighter than the factory clutch, which causes accelerated wear if up and downshifts engine speed is not matched. It does require adjustment of the master cylinder after installation since its stack height is different than factory. If this is not done, it will not fully disengage which can cause accelerated wear.
Regarding our Sport Clutch & Flywheel, this is one of our top selling products for the past three years. I'm not sure what you've heard, but I think the information may be confused with the RPS Single Disc clutch we used to sell. This clutch is awesome, and with nearly 300 in the field, is a proven design. Like other clutches, it will suffer if not installed properly.
I agree with others however, the factory clutch is an excellent design and if you do not plan on increasing power over the factory output. We have a factory clutch on sale in the parts section.
regards,
