I test drove a 91 nsx yesterday (first timer here) and noticed that the climate control took about a minute to start blowing in auto mode. I read the pdf manual and maybe I had it in test mode. Is this normal? Blew cold after that.

I used the check list and hv found this site extremely helpful.

I am having a dealer check out throughly this week. Any advice on that? Not sure how experienced this dealer is with the model.

PS. Still wearing the grin from the test drive...

Not knowing exactly how to turn the air on, I am not positive of the order I pushed the buttons.
I hit auto, ac and turned the dial (fan speed?) on the right.
I did this twice on sep drives, same results. 30 sec/1 minute and it came on.

The fan does not come on right away It will come slowly and only up to a speed that is needed to get to the set tempeture. There is no need to select heat or cool in auto or adjust the fan the control will do what is necessary to get to the set temp.

When you press AUTO, the computer determines what needs to run (A/C or heat), where the air comes out, and what the fan speed is if the fan control is rotated fully counterclockwise.

By hitting the A/C button, you are turning A/C off in this case, and then by messing with the fan speed dial, you are making the computer take more time to set everything the way it wants it to be.

Next time in the car, just hit the Auto button, and as pt91 has stated, the fan will ramp up to the computer set speed over a few seconds to keep from blasting a bunch of hot air out before the compressor has started cooling the charge. Then if you want the computer to keep controlling fan speed, but do not need the extra cooling of the A/C, punch the A/C button to change to "vent" and the computer will change speed and which vents are used for the output. Finally, use the speed dial to manually adjust the fan speed and the mode button to manually adjust which vents the air flows from.

Sorry for the long winded answer, but I figured I might as well cover it all as to only answer a question to create another one.
