Cleaning metal and plastic with bicarbonate

i posted the same suggestion about 2 years ago...don't think I had anyone respond...

At the time I just had a beadbalsting cab... but wanting to get a soda blaster for the chassis.. Let me know if you use it on the underside and how it works!

Thanks.

I'm going to pick one of these up as there are a ton of projects I could use this on. If I saw this several weeks ago, I would have used it on the etched powdercoat on my wheels.

Fairly easy to use, Chall?

I bought a small one from ACE:

It is really easy to use and the results are incredible. There is a lot of sodium bicarbonate released and if you don't wear a mask you taste the salt. Also, you have to use blasting soda, not kitchen soda, and it costs about $40/bag (I think that it is a 50 pound bag). You can buy that at Northern Tool or google it. It has no effect on plastic or rubber so these can be left in place. The surface is smooth and protected for a while by the process. No need to further treat when painting. It does work on fiberglass to remove paint. I never regretted getting mine.
