Check Engine light

Thanks for the advice, shorted the connector and saw one lamp flash once and another flash 6 times. How can I convert this to the code? Thanks in advance.

It's possibly intermittent. Clear the CEL and see what happens. If it comes back then you'll need to start measuring resistances. Measure at the ECU--that way you measure the entire circuit up to the ECU connector. If an injector was really OL there would be a dead miss that would be obvious at idle.

Re: Check Engine light- code 16

Could not clear the CEL, I ran the engine for a while and there is certainly a misfire, must be one of the injectors. I will buy a test meter. Thanks to all for helping in the diagnoistics. I assume its best to change all of the injectors? One final question, if I have to drive any distance in this condition do I risk damaging the engine?

I've heard good things about RCE-good idea for the injectors that are still in spec. Verify the resitance through both the harness and at the injector itself to isolate where the problem is. No sense paying for service on an injector with a bad coil, and no sense replacing a good injector that only has a faulty harness connection. Usually it is the injector though.
