cheapest way to deal with insane driveway in winter

It shouldn't be difficult to find one for sale, since VW had so much trouble selling them that they cancelled it...

Ouch Ken! They really didn't make that many like the NSX so they are not as easy to find as you think. However, now they that aren't making them (last year was 2006) they are starting to hold their value a little better. Either way, it is hands down the best car that I have ever owned.

I want your Phaeton! Can you please send me some pics...!?!

Gratsis.

PM me your email and I will send you what I have. Also, check out Steveny's as well. (bentley wheels on it too)

You could hold up in the cabin for the winter, kind of like in The Shining, without the axe of course.

Anyone who thinks the Phaeton is a 90K Jetta has never driven a Phaeton for sure. World class car hands down. The car was a IQ test for the American Luxury car buyers and those buyers failed the test no doubt. The car is twice as good as the 7 series BMW and the S class Benz and it is cheaper than both. It is probably more misunderstood than the NSX.

problem almost solved. we're moving, the 1" of snow we've had this year already scared the hell out of the wife and we had to carry the kids up through the woods. today was bad as well with the freezing rain the past two days turning the driveway into ice. i just had to bring home 100 lbs of ice melt to get her up the driveway. we already have a new place with a 40' driveway and will be out of this place in 2 weeks. hopefully the snow continues to hold off.

Glad to hear the problem will be solved soon. I saw the picture of the house and thought it was a beautiful location...if you didn't have to leave the house every day. Making that trek on a regular basis was probably a huge PITA.

I'm not sure if the contour lines of the map are in 10 yard intervals, but I would assume that (the map does not specify). Based on that fact, your driveway experiences a 110 yard drop, about 330 feet. Over 600 feet, taking the ArcSin(330/600), that gives about a 33.4 degree slope or 65% grade (Tan(33.4)*100).

UUUUHHHHHHHH........ I like cornflakes!

I think the contour lines are 25' each, I'm pretty sure I saw the scale somewhere. Steve, I was thinking of you when the friggin G35 nav tried to route me along the great lakes and through the Buffalo area on my IN-NY leg of my drive back.

Screw the range rover England cant make cars. If you want something that will destroy that trail or mabye put a plow on you should get a Jeep. I have a CJ-7 and it dominates. Jeeps will off road better than anything else. And they wont hurt ur wallet.
