Changing window regulators

I've tried the lubrication & dali window fix it thingies several years ago...windows still painfully SLOW! Recently, Pass. window even binds/stop short of closing about an inch but does close after a few tries. I know LarryB suggests a process of re alignment...don't think I have the patience for it. I have decided to just change out both regulators with new ones. So, questions:

Can I/should I re use the Dali window fix it thingies? Know SOS makes them..are they any better?

Do I need to add extra lube to the window regulators? If so, what should I buy?

Any other tips?

BTW, it's a 92 NSX.
Thanks

Jeff...friggin' tired of slow windows!!

Early model NSXs have windows that go up slow. I have yet to see one that goes up quickly. Lubricating the window tracks will help some but nothing dramatic. The window "thingies" only prevent the plastic piece holding the wire ends together in the window regulator (older design) from breaking. They have absolutely nothing to do with how quick the window goes up. In early '92, the window regulators were updated to the new design (plastic piece is now boxed for all around support). Every '92 I checked already had the updated box design.

I am aware that the window fix it thingies don't increase the speed but just prevent the pin from popping out. However, another prime member said he tried everything as well to fix his slow windows but nothing worked til' he changed out the regulators. I can live with slow windows but mine are ridiculously slow and now binds on the passenger side is why I am going the route of changing it out all together. I will let everyone know how it goes once installed. Thanks!

My driver's regulator was pretty slow and clunky when I got the car, but some time cleaning and re-lubing everything (I used Mobil1 grease I had on hand, and didn't get the Special Honda urea grease) , then a little bit of use, and it's operating quite nicely now. I would think replacing the regulators would require re-aligning the window, so I don't know if it would be any sort of time-saver.

Don't forget to do this when you mess with your windows...
