Has anyone attended one of CGI's performance driving schools at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan. Just wondering about your opinions, and observations. Thanks

If you live in New York State go to www.trackmasters.com as they hold driving schools at Watkins Glen. If you have no experience at all they have a Novice school in early August. The NSX Club of America is holding its annual drivers scholl on October 8-9 at Mid-Ohio in Lexington, Ohio. This school is part of the club's NSXPO schedule and you must be a NSXCA member to attend.

I recommend them, especially for anyone who has at least a little bit of experience and is more concerned about how much track time you get than anything else (although they're good for novices, too). Newbies get an instructor in the passenger seat and a couple of classroom sessions during the day. Barring unforeseen problems requiring shutting down the track, all groups get seven 20-minute track sessions, which means you get more track time in one day than many groups offer in two. Most people are so satisfied that they're skipping the last session or two of the day. The instructors are very familiar with the track and are some of the finest people you'll meet anywhere.
(Disclaimer: I am one of their instructors.) The atmosphere is very laid back, with an emphasis on safety and fun.In many respects - orientation towards track time and general atmosphere - CGI schools and Trackmasters schools are similar.
