Well folks,

Wintertime is usually downtime to most car guys, so its always agood time to look at more mundane things to improve the club's image and comeraderie.


I am just curious as to whtehr the Canadian contingent has things like club wear and maybe even stickers for members to display their allegiences? :wink:

If there is I would be very interested in picking some up. I am hoping to meet up with (as soon as we get our schedules aligned) with the NSX Club of Japan's guy, Hiro for some club stuff while I am still here in Tokyo. It would have been nice to have some Canadian stuff to give back in exchange.

If this stuff exists, can someone point me to the right contact person? If not, who'd be interested in something like what I have mentioned?

Unfortunately I don't think we have anything of the sort here. I would DEFINITELY be interested in this type of thing though, even if it's as simple as decals, t-shirt, baseball cap, whatever.

Seems I've touched on a untapped void here :wink:

As some of you know, I run the Canadian Skyline club (GTRCanada.com), and in the last 2 years I've come to learn alot about club gear. If you guys are definitely interested in things like this I can see what I can do when I get back. The very easiest thing to make are vinyl stickers. I usually favour small, simple ones that tastefully show the club logo and proudly proclaim the owner of the NSX as being involved with the club. Bigger ones can be made too but windshield sized logos look ricey to me. Caps would be the second easiest thing to make since they are easy to ship cheaply and don't come with the headaches of multiple sizes and styles.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what else might be good for them, post on this thread and I'll organize things when I get back.

Good stuff -- glad to have you on board Johnny! Now we just need to come up with a name, logo etc Small decal is definitely the way to go. I'm not interested in any large stickers etc.

OK, update in order.

I whipped this up tonight on photoshop.

The black represents the glass, and the lettering will be individually cut vinyl. Colour..I'm guessing something neutral like silver, gray or white?

I think I can get my vinyl guy to make 20 of them for probably a toonie each. Anyone interested in this logo idea? If anyone has a better one in mind, post it up!

Also, it would be nice to send proceeds to Prime since they are our gracious hosts but I read elsewhere that they are not accepting anything at the moment. Anyone here tight with the admin crew? Can you ask for us?

If they don't care to make anything off this I can just do them up at cost.

Im in, but why dont we try to put a CDN flag in there and get rid of Canadian wording....

Problem is, multiple colours will be harder to do. They would have to cut the red stuff separately and we will have to reassemble them as we paste them on. Chances of messing up is much higher. One colour cut is easier and in my experience, cleaner looking.

...and I was actually trying to avoid the maple leaf cliche
