CD players in the trunk?? Was it a option?

I am looking at a couple NSX's and I am wondering if they had an option for a CD system in the trunk. I am not sure if anyone would know this but if it is
an aftermarket item would they need to drill through metal to install. Reason I ask is I am looking to have an all original NSX :biggrin:

It's a re-badged Alpine unit. The exact model depends on the year it was sold. All NSXs are pre-wired for CD changers from the factory. The wire comes into the trunk behind the carpeting in the corner towards the front of the trunk on the drivers side.

Get an I-Pod and use a cassette connection to the car's stereo unit. No holes to drill!!!
