Casio S 500 help please.....

I think it's the S 500 ( or perhaps S 5000 ). A very small digital camera w/ video capabilities. it's about the size of a playing card. Saw it at Target for 300 bucks. I bought a digital camera once, but when I was opening the package on my vacation, my Venezuelan friends insisted that I sell it to them cause electronics are more expensive down there, so I never got a chance to get familiar w/ a digital camera. I'm totally clueless. Is this Casio a good buy ? What about the video on it? I don't need a camera for work responsibilities, just the standard friends, vacation stuff.

If all you need is a point and shoot camera, the Nikon Coolpix or Canon S series camera's are good choices. If you aren't going to print many pictures larger than 4x6, then all you really need is a 4 megapixel camera. I don't like digital cameras that also have video recording capabilities. If you want to make videos buy a camcorder, that's what they are made for.
