So this is my 2nd NSX , my first being a 91 with 20000 miles but it had the flip up headlights and I really wanted the new front end but couldn’t source the conversion so I sold it and picked up a twin turbo 95 Toyota Supra and started building that.
During my long build on the supra which is still ongoing I was missing my NSX so I started looking for a replacement which took me about 7 months when I found this 1994 with conversion, 80000 miles, and some extras at a dealership. After some negotiating I ended up bringing it home.
I was super excited to have a NSX again and had only planned to fix a few things that were missing or broke; otherwise the car was in great shape. I then took it to its first show, which there were four other NSX’s there. Three of the cars where white NSX-r themed cars. Since I own a body shop I had to switch it up a bit while keeping it clean but keeping the NSX-r theme.
Here are the results of the build performed by my shop Phantasy Kolors Custom Paint and Body work.
This is how it was when I bought it
Pulled it into the shop and prepared to change it up and start bodywork
Custom cut factory engine cover to prep for carbon fiber
Painted the parts to be covered in carbon fiber black
Couldn’t source aftermarket vented side skirts for a decent price so we made them ourselves
Started overlaying parts in carbon fiber
Test shot of the paint against the carbon fiber
Test fit carbon fiber parts on the car
Started overlaying the interior parts in carbon fiber
Sent the rims off for sandblasting
Then painted them black
Then we started carbon fiber overlay on the wheels
Then we knocked out engine bay and stereo enclosure
Then moved on to paint process
