From Car & Driver, summarized by Tirerack:

Could any of these nine low cost offerings knock off the Pilot Sport PS2? The Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 in the test size of 225/45-17 costs $192.00.

Here's where the challengers come in price wise:
BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW2 ($126)

Hankook Ventus V12 EVO ($106)
Kumho Ecsta XS ($120)
Ling Long L688 ($57)
Nitto Invo ($117)

The test covered several different areas of performance. AutoX , skid pad , braking , price and ride quality. I am not going to reproduce the entire article but, here are some of the numbers

Thanks for the post, getting ready to make a purchase for the rears

I presently have the Falken Azenis RT-615 on the nsx their great tires. Only complain I have is they wear out to quickly. tread wear is 200, I’m considering move up to 240 to 280 tread wear, I had 300 tw (COMP T/A’s) on at one time, away to hard of a compound in my option for the nsx to work (drive) properly. I had no problems RT-615 in rainy conditions, plus I would think most of us aren’t going push are nsx's hard in the rain. Just my 2 cent

I have found the PS2 is much lighter than most other tires.

It was a good review. I was particularly interested in the poor wet weather performance of the Kumhos.

Considering that the NSX is not the most wet weather friendly car to begin with (and there's been many, many instances of wrecked NSXs due to wet roads) - I'm not going with Kumhos. The Dunlops seems to be the best choice for street use.

Can't go wrong with the Z1 Star...on my second set with no complaints, except road noise towards the end of life.
