The 12C is a car of total coordination. The superior visibility grants the driver greater confidence, and the suspension compliance allows for full use of the brakes and engine. Add in linear power delivery, a smooth brake pedal, and predictable steering, and you have a vehicle that, however monstrously powerful, feels like an extension of yourself. Everything in the McLaren works exactly as expected, allowing you to adjust your speed in small increments and, ultimately, get from point A to point B quicker than in the two other cars.
That happens to be exactly how I like my sports cars tuned too. The NSX was tuned by just one WDC. Now the MP4-12C is tuned by two WDCs.

0-150 mph in the Mid 12 second range for the McLaren? Holy fudge. I'm thinking they are underreporting actual hp by a hundred or so.

Dare I say this is EXACTLY what the next gen NSX should have been.......

That's just what I was thinking tonight: Honda should have thrown in their HSV-010 GT for the test. That would have been a real eye opener.

It looks like Darth Vader's personal car.

That'll make it three cars from the Axis Powers and one car from the other side of WW2.

Here it is in race trim as of a month ago, with a big red H on the hood:

It's very possible that there was plenty of tire spin on street tires that are fairly new that is killing the time.

My GTO makes about 600hp to the crank and 1-3rd gear on a cold day is useless. I've narrowly beat cars running in the high 12's and low 13's since I deactivated the TCS.

I think you may have misread. I'm saying 0-150mph in the 12 second range is BAD ASS!

That motor is probably closer to 650+ hp.

Where the heck do you see that? The test result page here shows the 0-150mph range being 13.9 seconds for the McLaren

Are talking 1/4 mile times in the high 12s/low 13s or for a 0-150mph test?
The Bugatti Veyron does 0-150mph in 12 seconds. The original McLaren F1 does it in 12.8
Pretty sure the all mighty S/C'd GTO won't be able to hang with that.... sorry Batmans..

I was talking in 1/4 miles times silly wabbit.

My GTO with it's current SC can't touch that, but with my engine that is already built to handle 1000HP all I need to do is to upgrade to the ZR-1 blower (TVS 2300) with a high boost pulley and there isn't any reason why I can't see similar power levels as:
