Can't get the NSX off my mind

Thanks Shawn. I've always enjoyed your build threads. Oh, this car will see rain! The weather changes so quickly here. It was very clean underneath though.

Thanks Shawn. I've followed some of your build threads. They are awesome! I've always thought the rain thing was interesting too. No change in value, but I guess it just shows how the past owners used and maintained the car.

Congrats!! Beautiful Car :)

I thought I was OCD when it comes to my NSX but this is far worse

and never seen rain LOL I love when seller tells the buyer that LOL how do you really know, husband out of town wife takes it for a spin in rains she gets home it drys he come home and in his mind its never seen rain but the wife knows the truth LOL

I forgot to say congrats wait till someone asks you is it the new corvettes and you end up punching them LOL

Shawn as you usually do.....go down that slippery slope again! Check the for sale section. I said the car 'likely has never seen rain' not never (Mug's words). Your analogy is weak. This is a Sacramento CA car and weekend cruiser for both the 2nd and 3rd owner. That questions the 1st owner of 2 years but the NSX specialist (Don at Hilltop) says it was the cleanest underneath he has ever seen and in his words "probably never driven in the rain". So Mug "likely" got a car that had not been driven in the rain. So in this case your "LOL" is probably off-base. But as always like your humor with your feedback.

Sold the car in days which goes to show you the best cars are worth it and acting on quickly. Mug absolutely got a high quality car and paid a fair price.....and the dozen or so chasing me down to buy were either too slow or not prepared to pay. I have to laugh at one perspective buyer who asked if I'd take $30K. I politely replied that I had significantly higher offers and declined. His response was he had been watching eBay and those cars were not selling in order to substantiate his offer. Never asked if he was a Primer because if he said yes he would definately be a "newbie".

So I'm NSX-less. Been a great ride. Will I get another one, not likely at least for some time but never say never. NSX Prime has been a great site and source of information and fun. In the meantime, time to do some tuning to my GN!!:smile:

Who cares if a car has seen rain or not - if it hasnt, it could mean that its been sitting and the seals are dry. Seems silly to me but perhaps thats only because I find the best driving of the year is when the most snow is out ;)

Congrats on that beauty NSX though. You will love it, but man, Id kill for that garage!

Nice job of waiting to see how the babies and life shakes out before you self indulge. Thats a responsible way to live and will save you lots of stress down the road.

Not necessarily a correlation between keeping out of the rain and seal problems in California BioBanker.... but there are some who view keeping a car out of the rain more pride of ownership and providing best care for the car.

A newborn did'nt stop me. I deluted the baby formula enough to stretch out one feeding into 3 maybe 4 feedings. I also reused diapers that were just barely peed in. Saved enough to pay the car note every month including modding.
