I was trying to source out the keyless entry module as per the instructions in the FAQ. Called up one Acura dealership and they could not find the part # in the system. I called another and they confirmed the same. Turns out, Canadian part #'s differ sometimes. This is one case. Does anyone have the canadian part# for the keyless entry module? ...or if your north of the border like me, what did you do?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the heads up. Know of any replacement part# or can a current module be modified to work?

I check back 2yrs ago, Fairview Acura in Kitchener quoted me around $600 for OEM remanufactured with like 30day wty or something, plus installation. Keyless isn't avail new anymore, unless a dealer has one sitting on the shelf somewhere? Its alot cheaper to get something aftermarket, I went with a Viper 2 way communication alarm system intergrated into the OEM Alarm. I've had it in 2yrs and works great.

What is wrong with the modual? If it is like most Honda product it can probably be repaired easaly, perhaps I could help you out.

Mine never came with one so I was trying to source one out. ...but thanks for the offer.

I'm caving and doing the same. I'm sourcing out a 2-way pager alarm.

If you don't want to go with the full alarm route, you can just install an after-market remote door lock/unlock system, which simpifies the wiring install dramatically & many don't need/want the alarm features.
I personally think this is a better option than OEM anyway - you get additional features, not least of which is a trunk pop fuction, which you don't get with the OEM (ludicrous!). Best of all, about 20% of the cost!

Here's a basic keyless entry from Crimestopper - http://www.crimestopper.com/keylessentry.htm

You can get various iterations with additional features if desired - you can even have one which also features remote start - just what you boys in the frozen tundra need for those cold winter mornings to warm up your car!
