As a owner of a snap-ring car, i would like to comment that the snap-ring issue is only an issue if your car is low miles and the problem can potentially occur.
My car has 97k on it and not one problem. As Acura has stated, the trannys that are in the snap-ring range -MAY- see problems.
Shifter is tight and clean.
At 97k, i can be sure that i will never see the problem occur.
