Calling All Colorado NSX Owners!

There was mention of PPIR time. Is that still possible?? I'm new to this. I can't wait to see all of your NSXs.

Doc C -

The Ford SVTOA is hosting a track event at PPIR this coming weekend. If you want the registration form, let me know. It will be $130 for 1 day at the track or $200 for the weekend.

Also, on the drive up, from Castle Rock you guys should consider Hwy 105 up to Monument...it's a lot more fun than 83 IMO, lots of turns and usually fairly empty.

I live in the Springs but since I don't own my NSX anymore I won't be attending the NSX gathering but if anyone wants to try and hook up for lunch or if you don't mind including non-NSX cars on your drive, let me know and I'll tag along.

Andy,

Thanks for the tips. I am just a neophyte with this NSX gathering thing, but I would welcome anyone to come along. Especially you since you used to own an NSX. If you're bringing the Modena though, I think you shouldn't be allowed out of 2nd or 3rd gear on any driving we do!!!:) :) We need to keep you back with the pack!! Also, you can't get pi$$ed at me if I drool on your car. But, as I say, I am not in any position to say who can come. I just know the PCA (Porsche Club of America) is always very nice to people of different car makes. They just want people who love cars to come to their events. We NSXers should embrace car lovers too!!! Anyone know what time we are supposed to meet!??!!?!? What time at Pikes Peak Acura etc.!??

OOPS!!!! Nevermind. Time is 9:30 a.m. as it clearly states in first post. Sorry about that!!!! It's been awhile since I read the first posts of this thread!!!

Colorado NSX Gathering Update

All, Thanks for your responses and interest in this Saturday's event. Here is the info and an update on what to expect.

TIME: 9:30 AM
LOCATION: Pikes Peak Acura, 907 Motor City Drive, Co Sprgs, 80906- phone- 719 633 1500
WHO: You, your NSX, and a enthusiastic guest if you'd like!
WHAT: Several of the members of Pike Peak Acura are graciously letting us use their facilities to host this first get together. Jeff, Bob, Brian and Paul will each show us various parts of their new facility at the top of the hill as well as talk to us about what they can and will do for us as NSX Prime, NSXCA and Colorado NSX owners in the way of discounts and performance work. They will have their race prepped NSX(with Cantrell wide body kit(!) there and several personal and dealership owned NSX's.

I want to get to know each of you and here some of the ideas you would like to do this summer. PPIR and Second Creek are some possible locations for some events. Based on what we come up with, I will work with NSXCA to see what they could support us with via money, lap timers, event support, etc...

Of course we will want to have time to 'inspect' each others cars- I believe PP Acura is going to to have some places cleared for us to park together on their lot although I still need to confirm this.

These items should take 1.5 - 2 hours max and then we are going to head out for a drive.

The drive will be to the town of Cripple Creek- an old gambling town. Staying together will be the goal and from the dealership to the town should take about 1 hr. I thought we could break for lunch and if possible park the cars together infront of one of the saloons for some additional photo opportunties. I hope to get these pictures on Prime for the next update- I'm sick of always seeing So Cal and AZ!!!!

After that, for those of you that want more than just the same drive back, I will have some alternate routes for you to take either back to Denver or Pueblo. I will be heading back to Co Springs and then back to Denver where I live.

Remember there is an exotic car show the next day, Sunday, which Mike(mmmikemo) has rallied the troops to attend and I have answered! I hope some of you did also! :) Even if you didn't get your car in, the event is worth attending. There are some incredible exotics that only come out for events like this. If you need more info, PM Mike or myself for it.

Lastly, I hate email and typing, so you will notice time gaps in my responses- be patient or call me- I like that much better!

Thanks again and see you there-

All Cars are welcome on the drive!

Yes, please bring your Ferrari! For that matter, any car is welcome.

By the way, unless the weather is so bad that you need a boat to get to the dealership, the get together is still on wether you drive your 'X' or not!

As of now, the weather looks OK but we never REALLY know do we??!!

I understand also that we might have some enthusiasts driving up from New Mexico. I know several of you are from various parts of Colorado and I am excited to meet everyone!

Thanks!:D

Hey New Mexicans!!!!!

You will have to go through Trinidad on your way to Co. Springs. Please let me join your caravan. I would love to get my NSX in a group of NSXs going north. Let me know your plans. There is a WalMart right on I-25 with a big parking lot. Just let me know. Thanks. Take care. You can PM me or call me (719) 846-8430. Thanks again.
