Just a lot of pontifications. All the steps that the video shows pretty much described any low production cars. I am sure a BMW M3 would be built better than a 599 GTB abeit being less powerful. In fact, the requirement of such intensive man powers just reflects the loose tolerances of its automatic production standard. Even though I have liked and owned Porsche for decades, I still laugh at people bragging about "every 911 is different since it is hand built." To me it just means that each panel is messed up so it needs some human touch to fix that. For a manufacturer such as Toyota, extremely high level of precisions is just everyday business particularly for their high end products such as a mere IS250.
Afterall, Ferrari is never known for their fits and finishes. I am sure the 599 is much better built than the 550 which was a total butcher's job compared with even the econoboxes of the same era. But the fact that the entire video dramatizes such ordinary standard as something so special at Ferrari, the Italian still has a lot to catch up with others.
Don't get me wrong. I would love to have a 458 or a 599 for their sheer beauties and performances.
Not impressed.
