Bridgestone RE55S

Thank you. I was incorrect I am running 275/35/18's in the rear. So you recommend 265/35/18's over 275/35/18's then?

The Falken Azenis RT-615's are listed for only $107 for the fronts and $219 in the rear!

I don't think RE55s is a street compound. According to BS site, it is for circuit and autocross. I think similar tires to this would be Nitto NT01 and Yoko A048 and such, competition tires.

I believe you are correct. I think I will try the Falken Azenis as they also come recommended from my friend.

how could u compare Falken to the RE55S:confused:
the Falken is NO WHERE near the performance to the RE55S or the A048!!!

The RE55S or A048 R-Compound or S-Tire are obviously better for track conditions, but are not as street friendly and are waaay more expensive. For a low mileage street driven NSX, I think the Falken's may be a decent compromise considering their praise from many members here and elsewhere.

cool. thanks for the info. RE55s looks sweet but tooo much $$$ :frown:

Yes, they are very reasonable in price, compared with similar tires from some other manufacturers. And their performance is excellent. Check out the autocross test in Grassroots Motorsports.

Well, we really can't compare to a tire that isn't sold here. But the A048 is an R compound track tire, whereas the Falken Azenis RT-615 is a street tire, and I wouldn't compare R comps to street tires. The RT-615 is the stickiest street tire you can buy here, with the possible exception of the Bridgestone RE-01R, but it's still a street tire. If you're ONLY going to use these tires on the track, and you have the experience to take advantage of R comps, by all means get an R compound. For the street, the RT-615 is a good choice if you care only about dry traction for street use.
