Hi all,

First off I would like to thank mark b &
nick for all of they hard work on the
orlando install. They work long into the
night to get my car done, thanks again.

Next, yes I used the search but
found nothing so here goes.

Since there are more of “us” bbsc
guys out there has anyone thought
about replacing the volt gauge
with a boost gauge.

I inquired to mark j about the one
he has on his site and he did not
have the instruction at the time
but he sent me some up close pic.

Does anyone use a gauge like this?
Will anyone use a gauge like this?
What do you think?

I have also thought about doing the same thing with mine. Chris @ SOS also carries them, may want to check him also.

I would like to install a boost gauge as well. I have a friend with a twin turbo setup that has his boost gauge mounted where the ashtray used to be. I'm not sure how well I'd be able to see it if it were down there. I've never driven his car so I can't comment on that aspect. I've also seen the A pillar mounts but, IMO, they look too ricey...better suited on a Civic than an NSX. I'd appreciate feedback on a reliable boost gauge and ideas about where to locate it in the cockpit.

I had the GruppeM gauge which replaces the voltmeter installed when I put in my SC. This particulare one LOOKS OEM and great but have to say it's not overly functional.

I actually do have the A-pillar gauges in my car currently. Kinda dumb right now though because I have a NOS gauge but don't have any. Was going to install and bought the gauge and mounted it when I mounted my A/F gauge. But then bought the BBSC and now don't need it. Will probably put either a boost gauge or a fuel pressure gauge in the bottem (2nd?) position. I personally like the look of it myself. To each his own though right?

I too have been thinking about gauges and placement. For me, the best of available alternatives is to use the space where the ashtray is. The gauges I will mount are boost and fuel pressure. With all due respect, I believe the AF gauges are all but useless. (This is from the guy who has been driving aroung all week with a $1500 wideband display in his car... wired in through the passenger window, no less.!)

What I have been reading about the "typical" gauges from Autometer and the like, they do not function under WOT. (What else is there?) In all seriousness, when you are not WOT, you will be in closed loop most of the time even with the BBSC and SS box. You will see how good the NSX ECU is in keeping stoichiometric (14.7) A/F. The most critical A/F ratios are at WOT... and these meters just don't cut it. JMOICBW

On the positive side, Autometer has just one week ago shipped their new electric boost gauge available in a variety of styles. I prefer #4376. They also have an electric fuel pressure gauge #4363. With these, you can mount the sending units in the engine compartment and just run the signal wires to the gauges. Check them out at autometer's web site. www.autometer.com
