Blown opportunity

Happened again. That white NSX that one of the members suggested I took a look at was just sold. I corresponded with the dealer and he was not budging from the sales price of 27k. Based on the remarks about the vehile and the fact that I am going to have to replace the seats, I felt 26k was a fair offer. Since he would not move on the price I forgot about the vehicle. Then earlier this week I realised some how the vehicle ended up with another dealer that had it for sale for 24955. I told the new dealer that I am preapproved and although I havent seen the vehicle in person I just needed an inspection by an authorized dealer and an independent third party inspection company to complete the transaction. The third party inspection company would come to him but I asked if he could take it to the authorized acura dealer because he felt it was to far. He told me I needed to find one that was more convienent for him. Well, in the meantine, he put the car up for sale on ebay and the car was sold the same day to someone that didnt require any inspections.

This is beginning to feel like a full time job trying to get this vehicle. Well, I have located another nsx at a good price 98 nsx for 35k with less then 20,000 miles . This is a lot more then I initially wanted to spend but it seems to be at a very good price so if I can get a clear inspection I will go for it. Seller claims that it has never been in an accident/clear title, no issues but he wants to wait until after the holiday weekend before he can take it to a mechanic for an inspection. He still has not given me the VIN number. I am not sure if this is one of those situations thats a scam or something because the price seems to low to be legit and the fact that its taking so long to get a vin is making me a little nervous. Well, I will let you guys know what happens. Thanks again for all of your advise.

Yeah, thats why it seems a little suspicous that:
1) No one has purchased it yet- Seller claims that the people that have seen it hasnt purchased it because they wanted a targa instead of a coupe.
2) He wants to wait until after the holidays to get the inspections and complete the transaction
3) Still have no vin. Sent an email and called with no call back yet.

I know this maybe a waste of time to pursue but I would be kicking myself for the 3rd time for letting this go if it is actually legit.

Raise the price you are willing to pay and you will find one. You are trying to buy at the bottom of the barrel.....your going to get the worst condition ones and they are also the ones that are going to sell the fastest.

no way this car is clean, if it is and you dont buy it, I will and re sell it!!

Just so you know, you have priced yourself into NSX's in "D" condition.

Thats fine, as long as you know this up front and plan for it during ownership.
