Sorry for the crappy pics, I just finished this up... I guess I should stay out of the garage when I'm bored.

"H" badges from SOS, sand paper, flat black paint and something to trim the "pegs" off.

I think it looks pretty hot. Should look great in the daylight.

And a pic of the car to give an idea what the whole package will look like... (this is with stock badges)

Looks good, thinking of doing this to the Acura badges. How is the rear attached? Pegs or just stuck on like the front?

The front has tiny pegs, the rear is just stuck on there. The rear was a lot easier to get off. I still have some paint work to get off on the front...that sticky stuff leaves marks on the paint.

No Chris, still waiting on Ravi for the wheel. Sigh.

Wow, that is interesting... had no idea. I thought it was the OPPOSITE!

Funny, I was just thinking about doing this same thing last night with an Acura badge as well...just for the front as I already converted my rear to "NSX".
Does anyone know if the 02+ Acura badge without the dark background will fit onto a earlier bumper and cover the holes? Are the holes the same?

Cool

I wonder how it would look if the H was black? (cause it be gray now)

It is black. I used a flat black so it looks grey when the camera flash hits it.

It catches the light really nicely...like those flat black cars you see. Has almost a metallic look to it.

I'll take pictures in the daylight at some point, but it probably won't capture what they look like in person.

The badges come with 3M tape...not as much as I'd like to have on there, but they seem to be stuck good. I guess time will tell.

I didn't use the holes in the front either because they're smaller than what comes with the "H" badge and I didn't want to drill out the holes in the bumper. So both badges are just "stuck" on there with 3M tape. A little trimming and sanding and you're good to go.

I have a honda H in a shiney gunmetal finish. Its like a dark chrome and cam off a euro accord I think. I used to have it on the nose of my car but have since switched to NA2 R emblem.

The flat black is gives a nice contrast the the shiny black on the car. It stands out so it's noticeable, but remains stealth.

I really like it.

Here is old and new...although I still have yet to mount the new one....lack of time and warmth here in MI. The flat black really does diffuse the flash and make it look lighter than it is.

blodi u did this custom? i really wanna do mine

Yup, just bought an old badge off of ebay for $8 and sprayed it with some flat black paint. I still actually have no idea if the new badge pins will line up with the old badges or even if the new badge will cover the holes....I hope so.

ahh good idea.

so the front has pins right? and the back doesnt?

Correct.

Looks good Blodi. Pretty easy project. Maybe you can help me explain what it looks like in person vs pictures. I can't seem to capture it on my camera. The flat black captures light and gives it a lot of depth...way more than I would have thought.

All I can say, DrVolkl, is ..... bad a-s! Looks stealth. Nice with stock exhaust and your undertray/diffuser.

Thanks. I need a new exhaust but I'm scared about making the car too loud. I'm not ready to go thru what I went thru on my '91 just yet. Going to try and get it right the first time! :)
