I had to paint the center hubs since I'm not running any caps on my wheels, so, I shot the calipers with flat black high heat spray and then took some Revlon chrome nail polish I found in my bathroom and did the little letters. Really turned out good with the hypersilver 5Zigens.

Hope my daughters don't mind the nail polish gone missin!

If the nail polish doesn't hold up under the heat, you can use a Dremel to take the letters to bare metal (shinny) then use high temp clear coat.

Nice job, looks just like mine!

If the silver croaks, try some BBQ grill paint.

hard-candy...

How has the chrome nail-polish held up from the caliper-heat?!?

I'm curious as I found some unbelievably kuhl-looking purple/blue metallic nail-polish (2-bottles) at Big Lots when I was buying some candy-bars (the bottles must've been chuck'd to Snickers & Reeses part of the display as last-minute indecision).

Just as an idea for you guys out there doing the caliper painting. I've used "Testors" model paint pens on my calipers after painting them with high temp engine paint first. But the model paint pens have held up extremely well so far for me. I'll try and post pix up if I can.

Nail polish is great for touch-ups, but I'm more intrigued as to why you had Chrome nail polish in your bathroom?

haut pink, perhaps...

Question...

On topic...
So no idea whether application over whole caliper would be a bad, bad idea?!?
(ex. melting/bubbling/messy)

My caliper letters were chrome nail polished abuot a year ago and still look fine. No chipping at all. I did my toenails at the same time and they still look fabulous too. :)

Yes, the Chrome Nail Polish is still perfect!
One of the better products I have purchased.
And it takes nothing to touch it up while your doing your toes!!!
Hugh, I'm wearing the Green suit tonite with the open toe sandels so wear something differenet. Just because our toes match, dont mean you can wear the same colour suit as me.
