Big brake kit

Hrant my car living above 7K RPM's with the CTSC runs cool as a cucumber with my R vented hood. I don't have an oil temp gauge so I don't know where that is but I have never seen my water temp go a single line above normal street driving. You are right, a boatload of heat does come off the vent. Still the NSX runs so cool compared to so many other cars out there. Seperation of engine and radiator is a good design. My turbo supra with a fat intercooler and a big azz turbo had a lot of heat issues. Nothing like having the turbine 2 feet from the radiator....

yea, I know. But the $80 for the paint goes towards new pads.

Going to try to find some other locals to split it with me, as none of the local NSX Buttnuts track their cars. They keep saying they will, or that 2-1/2 hrs is too far to drive to the track ~ yet they drive 2 hrs to go to Cars & Coffee to sit around looking at cars.

ROFLMAO.... how true this is. Liquid and I drive 600 miles to Watkins Glen and my friends always talk about coming.... but they never show and instead go to these big C&C sausagefests.

My Grandpa always told me never to chince on Hookers or food, as either one can make you sick. I guess we should add brakes to that list.

We are digressing from the OP, but I am sure the gearing and type of track makes a difference. If one is constantly maxing up on the revs only to brake and then downshift for another maxing without going into the next gear to bring the revs down for a bit, there is a higher chance to overheat.

Also, not all NSXs at the track experience this, but from our experience, it seems eventually all do when they push the car especially with OEM set-up/radiator. Yours might be one of those lucky ones if running over 7K RPM is not moving the needle - assuming the needle is accurate. Have you tried to see if it will ever go above the middle?

I too can cool the temps in about half a lap if I shift at 7K RPM; but this is not the same as 8K RPM shifts

Yeah don't want to hijack the thread any further. sorry.... I run Redline water wetter too and yes, my gauge is probably fine, the car is a babied 2005 with 12K miles so I doubt the gauge is bad already.
