BEWARE: Lowering Your NSX with Bilstein Perch Settings

Just a friendly word of advise. I recently lowered my NSX by using the Bilstein dampers with the lower perch setting and stock coils. The ride is excellent and with the addition of front and rear sway bars, the car handles like a dream. The only thing you have to worry about is if you have a 275 or wider tire on a 10" wheel because both of my tires have a small clean groove cut into the sidewalls because of the lower spring perch. I guess when you corner hard, the suspension changes angles and by lowering the car with the perch settings, it won't clear the wide tires. I will have to look into shaving some of the metal off the perch or go with a 265/35/18 rear tire. Anyway, for those of you who have done this, check your inside sidewalls to make sure you are not cutting a groove into your tires. Good Luck!

Sounds to me like you have a lot of negative camber. What is your alignment??

I think some other folks with the wider wheels/tires will comment.
