We were starting to get a little of thread with the "Best Way to Clean Wheels" topic, so I started this one. Ken suggested that Invisible Glass (IG) was the best for glass. Today I went out and bought some. I applied with a high quality MicroFiber towel (no lint) and it seems to work great!! If the sun ever returns here in Chicago I can let you know the real results. Until then, I will have to settle for the 300 watt bulbs in my garage to tell me how well it worked.

Anyways, does anyone have any other suggestions of combinations for glass that work real well? I have always seemed to have a "haze" on the inside of my windows even though its never been smoked in. I think the IG may have taken care of it. Thanks Ken!!

use whatever glass cleaner and wipe down with an old newspaper or a new one if you like to catch up on current events....read while you clean :)

an old trick i've learned from home improvement techniques...

Iv'e used that as well, but I would think the microfiber towel would be even better.

As far as haze removal, I tried some Z-12 from zaino and it worked pretty well, but it is more of a re-finnish cleaner with some mild abrasives. I am going to grab some Liquid Glass for use as a cleaner-only.

I clean the heavy stuff with a product called Sprayway and micro finishing cloths. Then I follow with Glass Wax. This give a awesome look with no haze or streaks at all.

How 'bout a manufacturer on that Invisible Glass reference? I think the one I used to prefer was discontinued (actually sold to Turtle Wax and then changed, probably to be less toxic), and I'm open to good suggestions.

Thanx -

The first time you use it, you might think it's horrible - it wil strip all the old ammonia based cleaner residue so it might be a bit streaky. If so, do it again till you get it clean, inside & out.
On subsequent cleanings, you will not experience the same issue.

I have tint on my door windows & also inside the rear hatch - no problems!
Incidentally, it's available at most car accessories stores: PepBoys, Autozone, Kragen etc

Are these products intended for the inside and outside, or just the inside? I've noticed a definite difference in how much water will bead up on the outside based on whether it's in the part wiped by the wipers or not, so I suspect I have some sort of buildup or something on my windshield.

I used the Stoner Invisible Glass on the outside and inside with great results.

By the way, anyone in the Chicago area, there is a sale at Murrays Discount Auto Parts that gives a $4 mail in rebate on a $3.99 bottle of Invisible Glass. Not sure if the rebate is everywhere or just at Murrays. Free is a good deal!

I never have problems with plain old blue windex. I use an old cotton t-shirt, it streaks, but then I flip the shirt to the dry side(or another shirt) and wipe the streaks away , and looks great.
