I know this is an interior picture out of an advertisment, but this interior look can not be beat. I believe it is the NSX-R interior, but with black covered seats instead of red. mmmmmmmMMMmmmmm... I just wanted to share the picture for the few that may have not seen it before.

Contact Recaro if you want them. They look basically the same then and just find afabric that looks like it and have it recovered. That is what I plan on doing once I find a nice 02' I like. I swear my interior will look exactly lik ethat picture. God I love this car.

Vancehu own one of those seat in red, supposely, he's getting another one this month to complete the set. He may be the only on in the US with the real Type R seats.

Simple question: How easy is it to make the oem/stock seatbelt fit with the existing openings of a seat like this (undoing the stock seatbelt recoil mechanism, etc.)? Thanks.

removal is easy...

While removing the stock seat, the seat-belt which is anchored by a bolt on the door-side of the seat keeps the seat tethered to the car. Simply use a socket-wrench w/ applicable socket (14mm?) to remove the bolt and 'free' the belt from the already unbolted seat!

I have never sat on an aftermarket racing seat before, but THAT looks comfortable to sit in. Agree, love the velour black color of the Recaro Pole Position.

Here is a picture of a leather model I found from an old thread.

With a couple thousand you can make it happen! =) You're a step ahead of me..I have to actually buy another NSX before I get to do that! haha.
You already got the modify bug and you haven't got the car. It looks like someone's gotten the tuner bug. Right now I want to do a million things to my car but it takes alot of money and time. Best wishes on your search!!!

Well I own a 300ZXTT right now (never sellin git) with a ton of mods to it after a good 5 years of working on it..i have posted some pics here before. Anyways, I am now getting almost done after 5 years of working on it so I bought an NSX to start the same thing basically on, but then sold it cause #1 I got a great offer and #2 I decided that I want to start off and mod from a 2002 instead of a 1994 NSX. Looking for a localish black black 2002 is not easy though lol...at all!

Vance,
Just a question.
Are the Recaro seat as comfortable as the original OEM seats ??
Also, are the Recaro seat still adjustable or are the just fixed in one position. For the driver that might not be a problem but I could image that a (female especially) passenger might want to adjust the seat at least a little to their comfort.

its not the pole-position. the shape of the pole-position and NSX-R are different.

the NSX-R shape is more like the recaro profi-spg, but barely.
i have the SPG copies in carbon fiber and its very like the NSX-R except it does not recline and curve back as far as the real nsx-r seat
(refering to side profile)

the SPG sit more straight up
they both have the " * " embossed shaped skeleton in the back too which in my opinion sets it apart from the other seats.

the real NSX-R is its own pratically.
its reclined back more and is just as, if not more comfortable than the $5,300 factory equipped leather seat.

vance is a lucky dog as he is the only one in the states with a Real type-R seat. whats the big deal anyways?
theyre "Type-R" so thats a +1.
also they weigh half as much as the Status cabon/kevlar copies.

lol Erick, considering the fact that almost everything on your car practically came from my car. I sense jealousy...

The R Seat is more comfortable than the OEM aluminum framed seat. Every one who have tried my car will confirm that. The seat will not recline, but it is set at a very comfortable angle. Unfortunately, you cannot buy this seat from Recaro. I have another one on the way, hopefully it will be here next month.

Vance,
Just how much different is the NSX-R seat compared to the Recaro PP if I may ask ??

The brochure on Recaro's website says that the seats can be customed to the fabric of your choice. After a quick look it looks like the R seats contain 2 materials, suede (with breathing holes) seating surface surrounded by, I believe looks like, 'jersey' material. And the 'recaro' letterings can be positioned anywhere of your choice. Check it out (page 22):

Has anyone ever ordered a custom Pole Position from Recaro?

doesn' tlook like a lot in the pictures. Certainly not enough to justify the $8k per seat price as apposed to the $1k per seat price.
When your trying to build a type R project and an oppturnity comes along for you to get the orignal type r parts,I dont see why you shouldnt get it if you can get your hands on them. I've been following his project and it seems like money is not an option as long as its the real type r part he is looking for.

Hey Vancehu love your interior. I was wondering if you had a drivers view of your cockpit besides just the side one. I am interested in seeing how the middle console of your NSX looks. The car is so outdated I am interested in knowing if there are any ways to modernize the interior without depreciating the value with fiberglass kits and what not. Thanks
