When the 2002 NSX model came out, at first I didn't care too much for it, but it has more or less grown on me since then.
Also, it seems that more and more NSX owners have been doing the 2002+ conversion with the fixed headlights.
Some of those have posted really gorgeous pictures in the picture-forum.

However, I feel that not every NSX-color seems to go well with the 2002+ look. My own car is the Formula Red version and I think it looks great on the older style NSX, the same color doesn't look as good on the 2002 model in my opinion.
However, some colors are absolutely beautiful on the 2002 NSX.
My favorites are, in order:

2002+ NSX: White, Blue, Black, Yellow, Grey
91-01 NSX: Red, Black, Orange, Silver, Yellow, Blue

I would like to know if other owners have a similar different color-test between the 1991-2001 versus the 2002+ model.

You don't like the red:eek: I just saw one in person last month and thought the NFR was beautiful! It was coming up behind me and I was like "WOW"!

02+ Favs are LBBP , White , Imola , Yellow, NFR

91-01 Black , Yellow , White , Sebring

I actually like the red on the 02+ better than the earlier ones...but then again I also like the Imola, so I may have "different" tastes.
I think the silver is also pretty impressive....and the white too.

Long Beach Blue Pearl is my favorite for 2002+ models.
Spa Yellow Pearl is my favorite for 1997 - 2001 models.
Grand Prix White is my favorite for 1991 - 1996 models when white is available otherwise I go with red. (I think white was not available in 1995?)

Favorite: Silverstone
Least favorite: Yep you guessed it, LBBP!:)

I'm a huge fan of the imola orange and of course berlina black

(2002+) LBBP, White, SilverRock, Black, Yellow, Imola

(pre 2002) Blue, Black, White, Sebring, Yellow

Definitely Blue #1 no matter the year  . It's always been my favorite color on anything.

Not OEM colour. My favourite colour for 02 would be Daniel Song's NSX colour (Lamborghini Grey?).

Black is for you if you mean business. Don't mess with black Jack.

White is for you if you want to look pure, but are an idea away from being the next Jeffrey Dahmer. Hey Don Johnson called... he wants his color back.

Yellow is for you if you're a banana. Get in wearing a T and you're a twinkie. Nice...

Red is for you if you are knee-deep in a mid-life crises... you are currently using "Just for men" and your next car is a Dodge Caravan.

Orange is for you if you're 14.

Silverstone is for you because you were the type of guy the engineers designed the car for. You are, F-16 pilot... No show, all go... Mr. NSX.

LBBP is for you if your wife wears the pants and you tippy toe through the tulips in your skirt. You hold hands on sunny days and you like to collect butterflies. This color came into being because apparently Honda had a "don't ask don't tell" policy.

I like to make friends on prime.

Isn't it cute SilverRock boy is trying to be friendly with a rhyme he made up while taking the "short" bus to school.

Here's what people usually think about when they see a Silverrock car although they usually just don't pay attention as it looks like any other car on the road that isn't the mighty LBBP.

Pre-02 would be red, black, silver and midnight pearl. As for 02+ I think the silver guys have the advantage of the headlights matching the car which is a huge aesthetic plus but for an exotic car you can't beat Rio Yellow Pearl and Long beach blue pearl.

LOL Perry... I knew you'd take it too far... Give you an inch and you will run with it...

Now you are going to get us all in trouble with Lud...

Every brand holds a signiture color.

For example:
MB: Silver
Ferrari: Red

But the best universal colors are definitely black or white.

It is a shame that Honda didn't export the Championship white for the NSX, that would have been my first color of choice.

Clearly silver was only put on an NSX in anticipation of the 2L V4 automatic engine that they anticipated putting in the car to aspire to the wives of the those who purchased the REAL NSX's, the yellow ones.

Dude I got that banner from a prime post..LOL Lude didn't say anything then. Besides I'm sure he likes the LBBP better than silverrock anyway:wink:

Ding ding ding

The matching headlights was a definite plus when I was shopping for my NSX

I'd rather see a thread called "2nd best color for 2002+ NSX" since everyone here knows silverstone dominates.

LBBP is on deck for me. Bio...and his sleek yellow taxicab...can sit in the dugout.
