before and after

Hard to believe you painted a car that looks as awesome as your before... but I must admit I prefer the solid color. That is why I go for the black in the early models. Two tone has never been my thing. Then again, any NSX color is a good NSX color!

After looking at this picture for a minute, do you think a 245 in the rear is a bit narrow? Not that the car needs more than that, but the lip of the rim is unprotected. I was considering getting some Kuhmo MX tires on my next go round, but they only offer a 245 in 19". I too have these Volks, so I would basically have the same look. Just wondering. Looks great regardless!!

Yes it is narrow. but I have the tire around from my old set of 19" . next set for rear will be 265 or 275

latest pics.. I think I'm done

I think I'm done with my final mod.
WW lip install and ARK exhaust with modded valence.

WW lip was the cheapest mod I have yet other than my broadway mirror for $10. $60 used ww lip. $30 for spray paint, primer, sand paper and molding tape.

I use Duplicolor spray paint. Happen to find a match.. My car isnt R77 it is a darker red from a complete repaint. Found a Milano Red from Duplicolor and it matched.

1. Sand down lip to get more bite on surface
2. spray primer (build a couple of thin layers)
3. spray red paint (build up about 4 thin layer. Red is a bit transparent so I actually spray a layer of flat red before buiding the final "Milano red" color.)
4. Color (wet) sand with 1000 grid and 1500 grid sand paper. Dont work it too hard or you will sand down all the paint to layed down.
5. Buff with Scratch X or Fine Cut Cleaner til you see a gloss
6. NXT

I didnt do Clear coat because I always had trouble with them and also I can repaint it easiler if the lip gets banged up.

Here is my Journey.

I think that is just a reflection of something at the seam where the spat meets the body.

Car looks great. I like Red roofs when they are done right- looks like that is the case here.
