BC Racing Coilovers - Comprehensive Review

Just don't buy directly from them unless you want to pay significantly more.

I received an email that quoted BR Series for $1050 Shipped, is that a
decent price? Is this not the same set pictured in this thread?
I'm thinking about 10 & 8 or 8 & 8 setup...

Bro, He gave you the best price? What spring rate are you going with, and why? YOu gonna like the new coil.

I went with the 10K & 10K...Ravi has a great NSXPrime Price on his site.

After a few days with talking to Kerry at BC and Ravi at Umbrella I came to
the best of both worlds. Kerry (BC) said that to re-valve from 10 to 8 was
really not neccesary as they usually do not re-valve for just 2K, if 4K+ then
maybe. If I don't like it the way it is I can send them back and re-valve free
of charge and spend $300 for 8K Swift Springs which was my orignal intention.

So I'm going to try the 10K & 10K as most feel that they're just fine / not harsh.
I can always change, also the 10K & 10K are ready to go so I can install quickly
as I would have to wait for BC to obtain the parts / 2-3 weeks for the 8K & 8K.

We'll see how it goes...

I don't find 10k too harsh on any roads except some bad parts of i95 concrete sections.

Glad Ravi hooked you up.

I went with 10/8 because of the motion ratio of the rear suspension, and the fact that it is NSX-R spec. I figure Honda did their homework with the spring rates, so why deviate? That is more of a track issue, so for the street I'm sure 10/10 is fine.

I ordered your exact setup Paul!!!

Very excited to recieve... will be removing and selling my TEIN RA's when they arrive. They told me 3-4 weeks, is this what you experienced?

Cannot wait

Thanks again for all the help!!!!

Yep, mine took 3 weeks, since I had them re-valved at the factory for the 8kg springs.

I am hoping to get my car back together this weekend and at least take it out for a shakedown.

Installing Mine tomorrow, can't wait to get a bit Lower then throw the HRE's on!
Will add some install pics to this thread as well as any install + or - I come across.

Great Experience today with the Install, the rears were perfect with no
adjustment neccesary when installed. I suspect it may settle a bit this
week. The fronts however needed to be adjusted / raised quite a bit.
I adjusted them 3 times from the factory setting to allow for a little bit
of settling this week. 1st I went from the factory setting of a thread
gap / collar to collar of 104mm to 124mm (Not Enough) still slammed.
The the 2nd adjustment I went to 144mm (4x4) then found the balance
at 137mm. Looks decent and had no rub when cornering hard! Here are
some pics from the adjustments in order... By the way, the install took
4.75 hours including 3 front dismounts and adjustments.....

Thank you BC for a great product!

The ride was not harsh at all on the 10K/10K setup, it drives quite nice,
very happy with it thus far. Will need some time to play around with the
settings in the weeks to come.

By the way, just enough room to get 2 fingers on the adjustment
for the front and plenty to reach under and adjust the rear....

Thanks for the pics. Looking fwd to hearing more on the BCs.

If you ain't got these yet, I don't know what you are waiting for  You won't be disappointed!

exactly! after reading this thread i bought a set. i havent had one regret at all after buying them. i had a friend riding with me last night and he said "these are some nice coilovers, they ride really good."

I want to buy these but wondering if there will be a group buy? Don't mind saving a few $$$ if possible.

These are awesome. I'm running 8k front, 9k rear swift springs at the 15-tick setting for daily driving and it's comfortable as hell. Then I'll dial it to 25-30 for autocross and it stiffens up tremendously.

I need to find the thread from many moons ago where these were dismissed as "cheap asian coilovers"... just sayin...

Honcho - very interested to hear your impressions with these at the track. I'm seriously considering BCs for the other car.

Where were you guys when I wanted to buy these back then?! lol

Glad to see other members are enjoying them- I think it validates my research. Just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I am actually taking a day off from work this week to try and finish up the car- I'm just too excited to get out there!
