BBVNSX 93 EDM NSX - From Portugal!

Excellent work on the engine, the NSX is spectacular and the information provided is very useful.
Congratulations for the great machine you have !

Fantastic work Bruno and thanks for documenting it. It’s a pleasure to see the quality of work that can be achieved in a service.

Thanks greenberet! Let me say that your posts on prime are a great source of information too!

I'll be sharing information on weight savings in the coming days...

Great job! Clean work there. How did you go about cleaning your alternator? did you replace it, clean it or paint it? it looks a lot "fresher" now than before.

Hi redtide! thanks!

I used a good metal polish to do the job... i used really small quantities of product in order to avoid the polish to go inside the alternator... my car is really low milage so i guess this helps too...

Awesome. Will try that out. I'll tape it up to prevent it from going in. Thanks!

Thanks! Car is lowered 1" (25 mm) in the front and 1,2" (30 mm) in the rear. I have zero rubbing.

More pictures, installation, and corner balancing

Final weight with full tank and driver (me, 86 Kg) inside the car. So the car is 1350 Kg with full tank, 40 Kg less than stock (1390 Kg)

Final result:

Bruno,

lower the car equally to maintain OEM heights difference from front to rear..

your front looks a lot higher than the rear ;)

Nuno

yes you seem to have reversed the rake.

Thanks!

From control arm bolts i have: F-150 mm (OEM 170-180mm) R-188 mm (OEM 213-223)

To the bottom of the tabs for the four jacking points i have F(107 mm) R(112 mm)

Is this to bad? should i lower the front 5 mm more?

Thanks again

Bruno

Bruno,

did you measure the height that your car had? it seems that you are using oem values from the service manual against your actual height.

i measured mine before, and then lowered it 2cm on all points. with this, i lowered it equally.

I measured previously on the control arm bolts and they were 175mm (F) and 220 mm (R), but this was on my garage floor... which is not completely flat.

I did my installation with a professional tech and asked him to lower the car 25 mm F and 30 mm R. i think he measured from the center of the hub to the fender and told me the car was lowered 25 mm F and 30 mm R.

Time for the wight math:
