Bbsc install by Payne technologies

Didn't install the catch can yet. Tested the car on the dyno using the factory routing for the rear vent line to intake and front PCV line to the manifold with an inline check. We looking for oiling in the lines and intake tube using the factory PCV setup while on the dyno. There were NO oil traces anywhere proving nothing so far I guess. We will be installing a catch can regardless.

People are probably tired of hearing a few of us harp on this, but the oil "puke" syndrome can't be duplicated on a dyno, or even on the street within reason. If a car will never be tracked then it probably doesn't matter much, although proper crankcase ventilation is good for multiple reasons including power.

This is why I am such an advocate for utilizing a catch can setup that replicates (and improves on) the factory breathing system using a factory PCV. I really just wanted to see if, under a healthy FI setup, we would witness any misting into the hoses or intake. I also said "proving nothing so far I guess" - admitting that this is only one side of the equation (the other being high g's while cornering experienced at the track or possibly on the street).

I used to have this problem with the BBSc when I nailed it getting onto the freeways. I could duplicate it really whenever I wanted....just start beating on it....she will puke or better yet it would just stall the motor.

Just out of curiosity what is your intake air temperature?
