Barrington Exotic Car Cruise Night, Thurs June 29

Hello All -

Although we don't have a "Crystal Cove" here in Chicago, we are blessed with Cruise Nights of every shape and kind pretty much every day of the week. Downers Grove has become our weekly meeting place. It's cool.

BUT...

It's time again for the Barrington Exotic Car Cruise Night. Thursday, June 29th. We had 8 NSXs there last year, lets see if we can beat that...

The event is in a dedicated parking lot, so it's pretty safe for expensive cars. Although most cruise nights in the burbs feature domestic brands, this is one of the few evenings (only?) of the cruise night events that features exotic cars.

Just a bump to get this event on everyone's radar this week.

The event takes place in downtown Barrington, in a community lot just off S. Cook Street.

To get there, take 90 to Barrington Road.
Head north on Barrington Road.
Where 59 merges with Barrington Road, it becomes Hough Street.
In a few blocks you'll be in Downtown Barrington.
I think turn right on Lake Street, then right again onto S. Cook Street.

These directions are from memory. There are a few one way streets in there. At any rate, when you're on Barrington/Hough Street, there are signs that direct you to the cruise event (or just follow the fancy cars.)
If you hit Lake Cook road or the RR tracks you have gone too far.

Have faith in Skilling. The weather prediction for tomorrow is no rain. (knocks on wood).

I sent out a few PMs and right now it looks like we'll have at least 7 NSXs. There are still a few people I have not heard back from yet.

Feel the strength of the Chicago Crew!

The last exotic car meet we attended, NSXs outnumbered everything else handily. Will this be a repeat? I think so.

At this point, the success of this event depends on weather cooperating. Stay tuned...

Great meet! Thanks to everyone who made the drive out.

We beat our total from last year with 9 NSXs.

The event itself was extremely crowded. Would be a little nicer if all the exotics could be kept together in a separate area, a la Downers Grove. But there was a nice selection of NSXs, Lotus, Ferraris, Astons, and Lambos this year.

Special thanks to Brian for making the long haul up from Wisconsin.

And Ty from JGTCA for showing off his new Elise and snappin' some night shots.

Next on the horizon? Maybe a meet at the Elmhurst Cruise Night on a Wednesday in the next few weeks if we can get a certain local Yellow Turbo NSX to make the trek out?

Also, the BRIC is coming up the weekend of July 15-16. Roadtrip!

Anybody up for meeting up at Downers Grove tonight? (I know me and DRZZZ are in)
