Bailed on the NSX and bought an LFA

I see you had it out over the weekend - great to see you are driving the car and enjoying it! If I had known you were going to be out at FoW I might have made the trek.

I'm looking forward to the first in-depth YouTube review comparison of a Japanese LFA, NSX gen-2, and whichever competitors (maybe GTR, completing the Japanese trio of crazy-fast high-tech) where the pros and cons of each can be highlighted by those who get lots of seat time in each. Living vicariously thru them as I'm unlikely to ever own any of the 3. Good times we live in.

After a few months of driving I actually prefer the LFA transmission over my Porsche PDK dual clutch. When shifting the LFA it feels like a standard manual without depressing and releasing the clutch with your foot. The transmission does it for you. The PDK just changes gears in a way that is hard to perceive. No fun. I would gladly put the LFA tranny in the Porsche. However the dual clutch is the way to go in auto mode since is acts very similar to a torque converter auto.

We see PLENTY of exotics in the bay area (only the hyper cars are relatively exclusive around here) but even so - we RARELY see an LFA owned by an actual person. Usually it's a dealership or rep car that is on display.

Good to see you pulled the trigger on one - huge Lexus fan here so glad to see an actual owner! (plus being a past NSX owner is nice too).

What made you pick the LFA over the competition?

enjoy in good health :)

I love the interior and the sound the LFA makes. It sounds freaking awesome. Unfortunately the body design doesn't do it for me. But a very rare and great car! Congrats.

Finished watching the 45 minute video, never knew the history behind this car. Definitely a special car for the history books.

Just out of curiously let's say someone wants to buy one, where does one go to shop?

Wow that video was amazing.. I knew the car was special, but it gets even more special once you know just how intricate and artisan the work to put it together is.

exceptional piece. truly painstakingly meticulous, unbelievable.

always loved the LFA. now i appreciate it all the more...

Japanese auto at its best on that video........except for Honda!

you have to wonder if the NSX plant in Ohio is anywhere near as meticulous and scrupulous as Toyota's in Japan?
