Subject: My Display 2004 - Wizards of Winter
Here's a video of my '04 display. Sorry for the poor quality videos. Had
to lower the bitrate to get it uploaded
Anyway my display features about 16000 lights. 88 LOR channels. The MEGA
tree has 4800 lights, the triangle in the middle has 22 trees of 300
each (6300 lights)

I mostly used my imaginatin, but I found the amimation feature of LOR
very helpful.

The display uses 88 LOR channels.

I used blue icicles strung on a PVC and rebar fence (The fence is
Marilyn's design, If I remember correctly).
I am planning to add white icicles to the fence for the 2 color effect.

It is 21 trees wrapped in 300 multi lights (Chuck's design)in a triangle
with a single white tree at the top for a xmas tree effect , My wife's
idea. It worked out very well.

I'll give you his email address and phone number too if you want to give him a ring. You can also watch the white light in the distance to the left of the house blinking independently of the rest of the lights.

MIDI controllers are great for controlling lighting setups...you could do this computer, sequencer, or even live. This is giving me ideas!

Its not impossible to do but it sure isnt epilepdic friendly....I almost went into a seizure watching it !

You should have seen TSO in concert. The lighting was 100x more epileptic than this.

But what an awesome display at home. WOW!

After showing about 20 seconds of the house with the music it cuts to a shot of a six pack with a bow on it and the caption says "Enjoy the Lites":biggrin:

Yes, that should pay the guy's electric bill! I read he pulled the plug (pun intended!) because traffic jams from people wanting to see it caused problems for some emergency vehicles and he thought it was irresponsible to possibly endanger someone's life or property for a light show.
