Yes -- the TV coverage is so good I, like many Aussies, sit in front of the screen every Bathurst day without fail. Bit of a religion really. The cars and the track are so difficult to learn that even the best international drivers cannot match the local guys (Aussie's and Kiwi's) lap times.

Well Scammy, have you ever witnessed a stranger Motor Race?? -- 4 or 5 different guys could/should have won -- then the podium was basically full of teams that had been into the wall. (Some more than once) CRAZY day at The Mountain.

Yeah it was a mental race......... Shane Van Gisbergen had it in the bad......... such a shame......they really deserved it and for his performances this year he's really deserved it too, but no one ever said Bathurst was easy !
No idea what Jamie Whincup was thinking......... if he'd just saved fuel for the last 3 laps as they asked its possible he could have won it still by holding them behind with clever driving...... it wasn't like him, he's usually the smart one !
All in all though, got to be the best touring car racing in the world....... period.......... DTM, WTCC ..... all boring as hell relative to this stuff.
