***ATTN*** Potential Hazard for Track and High Speed Driving

My NSX is in the shop for what turned out to be a valve stem problem.

They are completly inspecting everything right now.

I've had two blowouts in my M3 and one in the NSX.

With the M3, both blowouts were in the rear, so I was able to maintain control despite highway speeds.

On the other hand, the left front Toyo Proxes blew out on my NSX while leaving a parking lot, and the car promptly started to pull hard to the left. It would've been disastrous if I was going at a higher speed.

I am running BBS RSII-wheels and they have a separate valve that you have to fit before you can do anything with air. A bit cumbersome but at least it won't blow out.
I did have a blown tire in France last year while doing about 100mph on the highway. Never had any trouble keeping the car straight, just pulled over and changed the tire. However, I think it would have been very different with a front tire blowing up on me.
