If you don't smoke, the ashtray location is a great spot for switches for lights, compressors, etc, or a couple of small gauges.
This part is 2 parts, a "scaffold" that attaches using the clips and tabs for the ashtray, a cover plate that attaches with a couple of screws. There are holes in the scaffolding so that you can run the wiring from below, the back, or the sides. The top holds the clip that the ashtray uses for locking in. It is slightly oversized so you have to push it in about 3x as hard as the ashtray.
Also, to get it out, don't just push up on the cover; it won't pop out like the ashtray. Push the scaffolding in a bit harder, then lift the cover to release the clip, then hold the clip down with your finger and slid it out.
You can also load the cover .stl into an editor to add the holes before printing, so they're accurate. If you're drilling, print the cover solid.
